Assistant Professor

Description
Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Work. We seek a specialist in Social Stratification with a focus on racial and ethnic relations and/or gender and society and the ability to teach both. Special consideration will be given to those who have experience teaching online. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record in, and commitment to, undergraduate education, including general education and integrating students into their research. Teaching load is 4/4. Candidate should have a strong scholarly record and agenda. Ph.D. in Sociology required at time of appointment.

Review of applications will commence January 12, 2018 and continue until filled. Position begins August 15, 2018.
