Growing local dental group is seeking a proactive, independent and experienced individual for the position of Office Manager. The Office Manager plans, directs, coordinates, and oversees all operational activities of one of the groups four thriving dental offices located across the Shenandoah Valley and the central Piedmont area. He or she is responsible for supervising and developing all office team members, ensuring excellent customer service and patient care, and for the overall flow and success of the office.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Office Manager is responsible for the following:
:All daily operations of the office including scheduling, greeting and checking out patients, reviewing treatment plans and financial arrangements
:Managing collections, communicating with insurance companies and maintaining productive provider schedules
:Leading office finances projects, accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and federal/state filing requirements
:Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures
:Managing all personnel issues, including conflict resolution, team meetings, hiring and firing, management issues and refining reporting structures
:Tracking, monitoring and reporting on teams progress to the Executive Team
:Managing office interactions with Executive Team, human resources, marketing, IT, collections and financial departments
:Ensuring compliance with company operation, legal, and HR policies, procedures and standards
Required Experience
:Bachelors degree in Business or related field or medical/dental training
:Minimum 5 to 6 years experience as an area manager of a multi:unit retail or clinic operation and managing onsite teams
:Outstanding people skills
:Excellent verbal and written communication skills
:Advanced knowledge of field operations, retail operations, and store management
:Ability to think on your feet and be proactive
:Excellent ability to communicate treatment with patients
:Dental practice management software skills required (EAGLESOFT experience preferred)
:Familiarity with dental terminology
:Proven knowledge of and experience working with dental insurers
:Ability to hire, build and hold a team accountable while creating a great work environment
:Demonstrated leadership in performance management and financial accountability
:Detail:oriented style with exceptional follow:through skills
:Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and to set and complete priorities
:Demonstrated ethical leadership
